Femap is a leading CAD-independent Windows-native pre- and post- processor for advanced engineering finite element analysis. The iSIGHT-FD Femap component creates a direct link to Femap, allowing the user to graphically select FEA input and output parameters of interest through a custom user interface embedded directly in Femap. iSIGHT-FD can then request multiple automated executions of CAE solvers such as Nastran and Marc driven by Femap. The component can be used together with iSIGHT design drivers to perform Femap optimization, DOE, or Monte Carlo simulation.
